Description:Provides library services to the general public. Circulates books, magazines, music CDs, CD-ROMS, audio cassettes, large-print books and dvds. Provides reference and children's services. Sponsors both adult and children's special programming. Distributes tax forms starting in January. A display case is available for use by the public.

ELIGIBILITY: Residents of Santa Cruz County. Adults must show photo ID, proof of address needed or card will be mailed.

FEES: $.15 per copy charge

For toddlers 1-3 years, a 20-25 minute program.

Homework Help During the School year
In conjunction with the Santa Cruz County Office of Education, the Santa Cruz Public Libraries are offering free homework assistance at 6 branches. Each Homework Help site is supervised by a California-certified teacher. There is at least one bilingual person at each location. No appointment is necessary. Open to students grade 12 and under. Check website for updated information.

Aptos Youth Chess Club (3:30-4:30pm)

Come play and learn the game with Aptos Library's Chess Master, Dana Mackenzie, for ages 6 and up.

Aptos is making meeting rooms available for quiet study time supervised by volunteers, Monday through Thursday in the afternoons when there are no booked meetings taking place. Call a day in advance to see if study time will be available.
