Description:Oceanseed Project is an environmental based, socioeconomic oriented non-profit organization providing a world of natural wonder, inspiration and empowerment to at-risk and disadvantaged youth.

Oceanseed Project is a green certified green organization by the Monterey Bay Green Business Program that also includes the Santa Cruz County seat and surrounding areas.
Mission: Oceanseed Project is committed to transforming the lives of at-risk and disadvantaged youth by providing access to oceans, beaches, estuaries, watersheds, and mentorship while teaching a student-centered curriculum in the humanities and sciences that fulfill national Common Core and Next Generation Science standards. Program participants discover a world of possibilities through a direct experience with their natural environment.
Programs:The uniqueness of Oceanseed Project's impact is predicated on our use of the contemporary, Nobel laureate scientific research proven to achieve the most profound impact on the individuals and communities we serve resulting in significantly improved life trajectories, business, economies and natural world. Predicated on this contemporary proven science, Oceanseed Project programs serve at-risk communities and are ongoing in nature, experiential, self directed, unguided, and place based.

COMMUNITY: Core to Oceanseed Project are the tenants that each participant establish a direct, place based, tangible, personal, values oriented connection with our natural world. Oceanseed Project mentors, naturalists and educators are routinely requested to provide their expertise and support to the local communities, schools, juvenile halls, and prisons.

PROGRAMS: Place based and experiential in nature, all Oceaseed Project programs are customized to address the specific needs, objectives and environment of each community we serve.

Club Oceanseed Project:
Club Oceanseed Project is an ongoing program, organized into four-week pods, occurring on the premise of our client, partner or the location of Oceanseed Project's specification. Utilizing an integrated curriculum framework, each of the weeks in a four-week cycle provides a unique focus area. Club Oceanseed Project is predicated upon the idea that individuals, communities, nature and our world are part of one eloquently connected system in which human citizenry is an imperative for all to thrive. Each gathering is lead by a designated Oceanseed Project Scientist / Naturalist / Teacher / Mentor and includes Oceanseed Project's curriculum, allocates time for youth mentorship that includes homework guidance as well as discussion and exploration of family and community events. Additionally, each gathering occurs in an appropriate outside environment, includes outside, participant directed, experiential connection with our natural world and one day each week is entirely field based.

Oceanseed Project Sprouts:
Oceanseed Project Sprouts is a one-week program, occurring on the premise of the client, partner or the location of Oceanseed Project's specification, the Oceanseed Project Sprouts program consists of one Oceanseed Project Scientist / Naturalist / Teacher / Mentor and includes Oceanseed Project's curriculum and includes experiential, student-directed, undirected social and team building experiences.

Juvenile Justice and Prisons:
Both Club Oceanseed Project and Oceanseed Project Sprouts programs are available in juvenile justice and prison compliant formats.

Oceanseeds:
Oceanseeds is a summer program, organized into 2 multi-week pods, occurs entirely in the field, in nature and at applicable partner locations. Utilizing our an integrated Oceanseed Project curriculum framework, each of the weeks in a four-week cycle has a unique focus area. As with our other programs, Oceanseds is predicated upon the idea that individuals, communities, nature and our world are part of one eloquently connected system in which human citizenry is an imperative for all to thrive. Each gathering is lead by a designated Oceanseed Project Scientist/Naturalist/Teacher/Mentor (Engagement Lead) and includes Oceanseed Project curriculum as well as discussion and exploration of family and community events.
Facilities:Oceanseed Project programs, occur on the premise of our clients, partners and mutually agreed to locations recommended by Oceanseed Project.
