Description:Free group activities by telephone for homebound elders in Northern California.

Senior Center Without Walls offers activities, friendly conversation, and an assortment of classes and support groups to homebound elders and those who find it difficult to go to a community senior center. You can participate from the comfort of your own home through telephone conference calls. No special equipment is needed and the calls are completely free.

All of the activities take place on the telephone with participants calling in from their own homes. When folks register with us, we give them a special toll-free number to call at the times that their chosen groups are scheduled. A recorded voice will prompt them to enter a code number, and they punch in the two-digit code which we also provide. This connects them to the group conference call, which allows them to talk to each other, much like the old party lines.
