National Immunization Awareness Month

National Immunization Awareness Month

Each year in August, National Immunization Awareness Month is the perfect time to promote vaccines and remind family, friends, and co-workers to get caught up on their shots to help prevent dangerous and sometimes deadly diseases.

Parents of young children need to be aware of recommended immunizations by age two.

Parents also need to make sure pre-teens and teens have received all recommended vaccines by the time they go back to school and this is also true for college students who need to catch up on immunizations before they move into dormitories.

And for everyone else, flu season is just around the corner

For low-cost vaccines, contact local agencies listed under Immunizations
