|Description:||The primary purposes of the Native TANF program are;
Provide assistance to needy families so that children may be cared for in their own homes or the homes of relatives
End dependence of needy parents by promoting job preparation, work, and marriage
Prevent and reduce the incidence of out-of-wedlock pregnancies
Encourage the formation and maintenance of two-parent families.
ELIGIBILITY: The Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California administers the Washoe Native TANF Program for tribal members and decendents of Federally recognized tribes or tribes recognized on the California Judgement Roll.
