|Description:||One-stop shops for an array of services for employers, employees, job seekers and providers of educational and career counseling services. The Career Centers offer universal access to core employment services, and referrals directly to jobs, training, education or other employment services. Businesses are able to access a variety of services specifically designed to increase their competitiveness and to grow their bottom line.
ELIGIBILITY: available to the entire community-businesses, job seekers, youth, and the general public at no charge.
|Programs:||Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act(WIOA)program:Scholarships and employment services may be provided to people who meet the WIOA eligibility requirements. Orientation is offered the first Tuesday (English)and first Thursday (Spanish) of every month from 9am-11:30am at 18 W. Beach St., Watsonville. Open to the first 30 people to show up, register online or show up at 8am to register in person. Please bring:Right to Work documents; Proof of Address (3 forms unless already in CalFresh/Calworks); Company Layoff letter or unemployment benefits; Proof of selective service registration; DD-214 form or Military ID if you are a veteran; Verification of income for last 6 months and your resume or work history. Peninsula Family Services (PFS) (formerly National Council on Aging):
Employment services for low income seniors 55 years plus-help finding part-time jobs in non-profit agencies. Walk-ins welcome from 8:00am-1:00pm, Tuesday and Thursday or call 831-763-8758.
