On the farm: As long as it's not raining, our 2013 season of open volunteer hours at the farm will be from 10-2pm every Thursday and Friday until Thanksgiving.
For your first time try to get there at 10am as we give tours to all the new recruits then, but after that you are welcome to come for however long you are able to stay Wednesdays-Sundays 10-2pm. Make sure to wear sunscreen, layers, closed toe shoes, bring a water bottle and garden gloves if you have them. We all eat lunch together on weekdays around noon, and it's a great way to chat with the staff, crew and other volunteers
You are able to drop in 10am-2pm on the weekends to lend a hand to our skeleton crew at the farm. However, we aren't able to offer a farm tour or a meal for lunch.
Our farm is located just past Natural Bridges Beach at the end of Delaware Ave. Take a right onto Shaffer Road and we're about 200 yards down on the right hand side of Shaffer Road. While we don't have a registered address, but by plugging "0 Shaffer Road" to a GPS, google maps, etc. you'll find us.
In the kitchen: At the farm @ 0 Shaffer Road, Santa Cruz CA
We are looking for someone to help prepare the lunches on Thursdays & Fridays. We serve lunch to our crew, trainees and volunteers Tuesday through Friday every week, usually around Noon. We are looking for a weekly commitment over a period of months for this position.

ELIGIBILITY: Must be homeless for hiring, but volunteers and youth groups need not be homeless.
FUNDING: 54% donations, 24% sales of products, 12% grants and 10% events/business sponsorship.
