America's longest running contemporary orchestral music festival held in downtown Santa Cruz at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium and at Mission San Juan Bautista under the direction of Maestra Marin Alsop. The 50-year-old Cabrillo Festival includes two weeks of concerts, open rehearsals, professional education programs, program talks and discussions with the world's most respected musicians and composers, and the following free events: a Family Concert, a Street Festival on Church Street in Santa Cruz featuring local performing and visual artists and food and wine from local purveyors, and a Creativity Tent for Kids.
FEES: Tax deductible donations accepted at all levels. Varied prices for concerts. Numerous events are free!
