Description:The Scandinavian Cultural Center of Santa Cruz is dedicated to preserving and promoting the culture and heritage of the Nordic countries of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Saami culture.

Normally, there is a cultural event held the first Friday of each month (except July and August) at Viking Hall. The Cultural Center hosts a variety of programs open to the entire community throughout the year. We have speakers, musicians, dancers, seminars, a lending library containing many items of cultural interest, actors, and opportunities for sharing stories and artifacts from our immigrant parents, grandparents and forebears.
Programs:Scandinavian Folk Dancing classes (all levels) are held the 1st, 3rd, & 5th Mondays of each month, 7:30pm at the Market Street Senior Center, 222 Market St., Santa Cruz. For more information, call (831) 336-9972.

Butik offers quality Nordic gifts and items for the home and family. Open during festivals and events throughout the year.
Facilities:Viking Hall is available to rent for meetings, memorials, birthdays, and anniversary parties. Please call (831) 425-9725 for date availability and reservations.
Meetings:Valhalla general planning meetings are usually held the second Monday of each month at 6:30pm at Viking Hall with a potluck. These meetings are open to all and are the business and planning meetings for our programs.
