Description:This award winning nonprofit science education foundation offers the best science teaching possible. It teaches more than 150 hours of specially designed active learning classroom science classes every year including afterschool programs. It teaches science fundamentals and instills an interest in science through its 3 programs. For grades 2-10 there are series of classes during or after school, and 5 weeks of summer field trips. For grades ~6-11 there is a Yosemite backpacking week for about 12 students. We're student centered and based on fun, active, hands-on learning activities and experiments. We realize the immense importance of effective science education for school and job opportunities, life time earnings and for contributing to our future’s scientific capital.

ELIGIBILITY: Students ages 7-14. Yosemite Backpack Program for ages 10-12 thru age 17.
