Description:The Soquel Pioner and Historical Association is a local non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of Soquel. We have published a book on Soquel history, indexed by Stan Stevens, librarian Emeritus at the Universitiy of California, Santa Cruz is availablle for a donation fo $22. The index can be added for an additional $3. (The cost of printing). The donation for the book benefits the association. We also rent a room at the Library where we have books and historical information available to the public.

Each year we welcome the community to our annual potluck picnic held at Pringle grove. We have an Historical speaker, historical displays and an opportunity to become acquainted with new and old neighbors.

Mission:The Soquel Pioneer and Historical Association is an organization of volunteers and is supported by donations from friends who would like to see the history of Soquel preserved.
Programs:History Room in the Porter Memorial Library, library hours are 12am-4pm, Monday through Friday and 10am to 2pm Saturday.

A Soquel Pioneer and Historical Association committee worked four years to create a history of Soquel. The long-awaited book is a newly released title in the Arcadia Publishing Company Images of America Series. It may be obtained for a donation of $22 at the Soquel Porter Memorial Library. As a gift to Soquel, Stan Stevens, Librarian Emeritus at the University of California, Santa Cruz, compiled an index that is now available for a donation to benefit the association and library.
Meetings:Annual Historical Picnic at 12 noon in Pringle Grove the last Saturday of July since 1938. We will be charging $5 for the picnic to defray costs.
