Description:Public hearings on certain alterations to historic buildings proposed in the City of Santa Cruz. City Council Advisory Body-Seven members are appointed by the City Council. Members should have degrees or experience in architecture, history, archaeology, or planning.

Mission:The Historic Preservation Commission shall have power and be required to:
a)draft and recommend measures to implement the historic preservation plan, including an historic building plan and historic preservation ordinance, to the City Council;
b)perform such other administrative and advisory functions as may from time to time be delegated to the Commission by ordinance or resolution.
Meetings:3rd Wednesday of each month, 7pm in the City Council Chambers.
