Description:SCCSC is a nonprofit educational organization incorporated in 1994 to promote and preserve Scandinavian and Nordic culture. The organization is managed by a Board of Directors and holds its meetings in the Viking Hall building in Santa Cruz.

Normally, there is a cultural event held the first Friday of each month (except July and August) at Viking Hall. The Cultural Center hosts a variety of programs open to the entire community throughout the year. We have speakers, musicians, dancers, seminars, a lending library containing many items of cultural interest, actors, and opportunities for sharing stories and artifacts from our immigrant parents, grandparents and forebears.
Mission:The mission of the Scandinavian Cultural Center of Santa Cruz is to:
Promote an awareness of Nordic culture in Santa Cruz County this includes the cultures of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, and the Saami people.

Facilities:Viking Hall is available to rent for meetings, memorials, birthdays, and anniversary parties. Please call (831) 425-9725 for date availability and reservations.
Meetings:Valhalla general planning meetings are usually held the second Monday of each month at 6:30pm at Viking Hall with a potluck. These meetings are open to all and are the business and planning meetings for our programs.
