Description:We are a local, one-of-kind grassroots organization. Our support services extend to families with children under 18 diagnosed with cancer within the counties of Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Benito and South Santa Clara. Jacob's Heart provides emotional, social and financial assistance to children with cancer and their families.

ELIGIBILITY: Any family with a child diagnosed with cancer before the age of 19.
Mission:To improve the quality of life for children with cancer and support their families in the challenges they face.

Community education about pediatric cancer
Direct financial assistance
Celebrations and milestones

Individual, Couple, and/or Family Support is provided for all immediate family members. These sessions can be scheduled with a Family Specialist as hospital visits and office visits, or home visits through the “HeART on Wheels” program.

Family Night Groups are offered one time per month.

Grief Support is provided for all ages and family members.

Camp Heart + Hands is a free service that strives to provide support to the entire family of a child or adolescent as they journey through their cancer experience. The mission of Camp is to provide families touched by childhood cancer with a special summer camp experience. Camp is staffed by pediatric oncology nurses and physicians who also know how to have fun. It is open for free to all children and adolescents with a history of cancer, or those currently undergoing treatment, and their entire family.

Volunteer times are as follows:
Orientation: Every Wednesday at 3:30pm
Drop-In Hours: Monday through Friday, 1pm-5pm
