Description:Founded in 1978, the Valley Womens Club is dedicated to community action, awareness and leadership in environmental, educational, social, and political concerns which affect the health and welfare of the San Lorenzo Valley and our community.

ELIGIBILITY: Residents of the San Lorenzo Valley and others interested in improving the quality of life in the San Lorenzo Valley.
Programs:The San Lorenzo Valley Redemption & Recycling Centers (SLVRRC) operates three State certified redemption/recycling centers as a community service. All sites accept CRV (California Refund Value) beverage containers for redemption (a refund of the fee paid when you purchase beverage containers). This includes beverages in aluminum cans, bi-metal (steel) cans, glass bottles and plastic bottles.

In addition to the beverage containers, all sites accept other aluminum containers, plastic containers #1-#7 (lids removed), “tin” cans, newspapers, cardboard (empty and flattened), mixed papers (junk mail, cereal boxes and other paperboard, magazines, catalogs, phone books). Scrap metals, such as iron and copper, as well as eWaste, are accepted at the Ben Lomond Transfer Station.

The Environmental Committee works to protect the watershed and to educate the public on forestry issues, erosion control, hazardous waste, recycling and other issues. We also monitor government policies and procedures. Events:

The Community Connection Committee sponsors and participates in selected community events and provides liaison with other SLV organizations and with government officials. Events:
